Trail horses always welcome and will be trail ridden as a large portion of training. Short term or Long term. Proven track record. Many years of documented experience both in the show ring and on the trail. I am always learning and improving my methods to insure that I bring to my clients the best possible experience and most up to date information.
Lessons - Beginner through Advanced lessons for all ages. Show coaching available for a nominal fee to those active within my barn. Trailer in lessons welcome, school horses available.
Boarding - Spacious indoor arena, huge groomed outdoor arena with excellent footing, 40 acres to enjoy, daily turnout, quality feed 2x daily w/ lunch hay available upon request, new pastures planted 2008, safe fences, private turn out available. Well- behaved stallions welcome.
Our goal when training students and horses is to produce excellent horses and horsemen that are able to enjoy thier horse careers beyond my barn. It is not my goal to keep your horse in training full-time for the rest of its life nor is it my goal to create a rider that is dependant on a trainer to tell them what thier seat should be educated enough to feel. I feel that a "show" horse should be just as useful as a trail horse and as such it should be ridden outside of the arena. Horses are worked daily according to thier level of fitness and training. I won't work a horse for hours on end, but it won't stand around in a stall either. Often we keep horses interested in work by tracking some cows around or just doing something that is more fun than riding in circles over and over. Our students enjoy similar benefits - we try to organize trail rides, the kids are allowed to move some cows around, encouraged to arrange obstacle courses, etc. I pride myself in healthy, happy, safe, and fun experience for all involved. I encourage trying new disciplines, new events, new experiences. |
