Info: Marty Oak Simper has a natural talent for horsemanship. His lifelong captivation with horses has led to a career in the equine industry. He specializes in Western Pleasure, Lunge Line, Horsemanship, Reining, and Team Roping. He has produced over 30 Futurity Champions and numerous Superior Champions.

Since he was a young boy, Marty has always been enthralled with horses, gaining a winning spirit and work ethic from his parents who supported him in the show ring and rodeo arenas. As soon as he was old enough to work, he did so at Maggie Creek Ranch, a 220,000 acre ranch in Elko, Nevada.

There he became greatly influenced by the philosophies of such icons as Tom and Bill Dorrance, Ray Hunt, Bill Van Norman and Brian Neubert. Through their philosophies, he set his foundation for the methods he uses today. He has gone on to help train many world champion horses, working and apprenticing with such well respected trainers as Clark Parker, Larry Larsen, Mike Dunn, and Brett Stone.

Marty is currently a member of the following Professional Affiliations: AQHA Exclusive Leadership Program, membership by invite only; AQHA Professional Horsemen, 2000 to present; and Utah Quarter Horse Association Board of Directors, 2000 to present. He is a past President and Board Member for the Northeastern Nevada Horseman's Association.

Marty is dedicated and strives for perfection for his horses, clients, and himself. Solicited repeatedly, Marty presents many horsemanship clinics each year in several communities such as Big Piney, Wyoming; Twin Falls, Idaho; Boise, Idaho; Vernal, Utah; Elko, Nevada; and Baker City, Oregon.

In 2006, Marty met his match, Chelsea Roth, and on May 4, 2007 they were married for time and all eternity in the Bountiful L.D.S. temple. Now, together they continue to make their dream a reality by training as a team. As a new partnership has come together they look forward to the future and expect great things. Their determination and passion will continue to make a statement in the equine industry.

Phone: (801) 783-9905
Info: Renee has been helping some of her friends to train and sell many of their horses. she has some extra time, and is willing work with 1 or 2 horses, per month. She has started some good quiet well rounded trail horses, love's working yearlings, and 2 year old' starting into saddle work, and has worked some horses with a few attitude, or behavioural problems. She very much enjoy's the challenge and satisfaction she get's from working young horses. Often it is only that the horse is misunderstood, or there is some missing communication. Sometimes it is a youngster that has never been worked, or has very little work done, wean-lings and yearlings can learn proper halter manners, and to stand politely and calmly for the ferrier, and receive a good ground start for saddle training. She has many references of the horses She's trained, and also the same from buyers and from the owners she has helped to sell their horses.

Renee's Thoughts

Horses are a thinking animal that should be offered the ability to use its mind, through play, and fun learning methods. A loyal horse is the one that has learned to try to please us by doing what we ask to the best of its ability. Every horse just wants to be understood, and through patience, and understanding it takes little time to teach them once they start to catch on.

I feel horses should be offered the right start, and as long as in the matter of a horses learning life, and as long as progress, and difficulty is always on the forward movement, that a horse should be taught by different trainers. I find this has a wonderful effect on their overall temperament. A horse that is only taught by one person is a horse who only knows one persons ways.. what about yours, what is you sell, a horse should be-able to have the knowledge to adapt.

I also feel that much as we have had many different, and exciting educational sources in our lives, I feel horses should have the same opportunity.

I am not saying I am the best horse trainer in the world, or that you may meet in your lifetime, but I encourage you to meet me and my own horses, and maybe read some of my friends, buyers, and sellers words, and see for yourself. All pricing is based on how much your horse already knows. A wild one will be a bit more. All training is done is the most gentle and effective way I know. I can work with large or small horses. When your horse is in my care, I will give your horse the same care I give my own, I groom daily, have the ferrier out (at owners expense) Take them to the Vet if needed, (some horses need their teeth floated before any bridle training can be done to make sure they will not have dental issues.) You can make sure your horse is vaccinated, and wormed on time, or at a small cost you can have me make sure it is done. All horses must have their vaccination and coggins done before being accepted on the property, copies of veterinarian records may be asked for.
